Furniture That Makes a Difference, People That Create Awareness
Down Cafe, a cafe in Gölcük that employs individuals with Down syndrome, opened its doors on May 21st. These cafes aren't just cafes; they're also important initiatives that raise social awareness. Varium, with the support of #FactoryofUs, donated sustainable furniture to this cafe. In doing so, we contributed to both awareness and sustainability. We are very proud and happy to be a part of this meaningful project!
Sustainable Play land for kids with Down sendrom and other mental disabilities.
İn collaboration with Gölcük Down Sendrom kids association, we have created a sustainable play area in Kocaeli region.
The difference of this place from other is that the furniture, wall panels and decorations are made of biocomposit materials such as coffee ground, olive pit, nuts shells. We wanted this place to contribute not only to the kids, but to our Planet by reducing trees cut and usage of virgin plastics. The sustainable change starts with our kids!
